Reading Sprouts Program

At The Fern Early Learning Centres, we help your child build early reading skills in a way that feels playful and meaningful. Our approach blends everyday conversations, storytelling, and books to support your child’s understanding of language and sounds.

Each of our centres includes a cosy library nook, filled with well-loved picture books, Indigenous stories, and titles that reflect a wide range of cultures and experiences, helping your child feel seen while learning about others.

Stories that open minds: Books featuring diverse characters, cultures, and languages help expand your child’s vocabulary and understanding of the world around them.
A space to slow down: Our book corners are calm spots where your child can enjoy stories at their own pace.
Annual Book Week celebration: Dress-ups, character parades and shared stories make reading something to celebrate.
